Most of the Drug Treatment Centers can be divided into two different categories. One is known as Alternative and the other is Traditional. So far the success rates have been found higher in case of alternative Drug Treatment Programs. It is interesting to know what the basic differences between two forms of treatment are. In all the traditional Drug Treatment centers, you will find the atmosphere more like any other clinic or hospitals, whereas in alternative treatment center the patients are accommodated in a home like environment. In the traditional treatment centers they are still continuing with their conventional treatment method, which people consider as out of date method. Most of the traditional method is now ineffective.

On the other hand the alternative treatment focuses on the patient and tries to understand the specific need of the patient and try to address them. In the traditional treatment method they do not invoke the faith of the individual which is known as holistic way of treatment. However, in alternative method they consider that two individuals can never be the same and every one’s need is different. Traditional treatments often overlook the behavioral and psychological aspects of the treatment aspects.  Alternative method addresses the emotional aspects of the patient which traditional treatment do not put enough emphasis.
